This Tuesday (19), Liverpool launched their new shirt, referencing the iconic kit worn from 1989 to 1991.
Fans may not be too happy with this season’s performances, but a breath of fresh air and new horizons can be found in this latest release from adidas — after all, the shirt pays homage to the jersey worn during the 89/90 season, the year the Reds lifted the First Division title.
The velvety Candy sponsorship, the pinstripe patterns — all of it is, quite simply, iconic.
The new shirt features adidas’ new stripe identity, now noticeably bolder and thicker than usual.
